Cornbread Stuffing – Copycat Liberty Tree Tavern Recipe

This delicious cornbread stuffing has to be a side dish every Thanksgiving at our house, and it will still be a family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 12 cups of Cornbread Cubed
  • 1 tablespoon minced Garlic
  • 1 cup Onion, chopped
  • 1 cup Celery Chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Rubbed Sage
  • 1 teaspoon dried Thyme
  • 1 teaspoon Poultry Seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 1 1/2 cups Turkey Stock (can use Chicken)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F.
  2. On a large cookie sheet, spread out the cornbread cubes and cook for 5 to 7 minutes to make them crispy.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the garlic, onions, and celery to soften for about 3 minutes.
  4. In a large bowl, add the cornbread cubes, cooked garlic, onion, celery, sage, thyme, poultry seasoning, salt, and black pepper and toss well.
  5. Add the Turkey Stock and toss to mix.
  6. Add the breadcrumb mixture to a 9×9-inch baking dish and bake at 350°F for 10 to 15 minutes to warm and get a crispy top.
