- Cooking Spray Oil for easy cleanup
- 1 large Onion sliced
- 2 pounds of Drumstick Chicken Legs (2 packages of 6 packages of Costco chicken legs)
- 1 and 1/2 cups of Barbecue sauce
- Salt and Pepper Optional
Instructions
- The best way for easy clean-up use an olive oil spray oil in the bottom and sides of the CrockPot.
- Slice in rounds one large onion and place in the bottom of the Crockpot, this adds lots of flavor and acts like a base for the chicken drumstick legs.
- Layer the chicken on top of the onions in a single layer and if you like, salt sprinkle on black pepper.
- Cover the Chicken with the barbecue sauce.
- Cooking times: low for 4-5 hours, high for 2-3 hours. Always check the internal temperature for well-done chicken at 185° degrees F. (85°C)
- Store any leftover chicken legs in an airtight container.
Notes
- Serve with a green vegetable, rice, or mashed potatoes.
- When I am done with a bottle of BBQ sauce I add about 1/4 cup of water, shake, and try to get the last out of the bottle.
