Easy CrockPot Italian Sausages Peppers Onions

This CrockPot sausage recipe is a lifesaver on busy nights, with juicy sweet, or spicy sausages, fresh bell peppers, and rich Italian flavors with hardly any effort. It’s the perfect way to enjoy a hearty, flavorful dinner without spending hours in the kitchen.

Ingredients

  • Spray Olive Oil
  • 6 Italian Sausage
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 2 cups Marinara Sauce
  • 1 Large Onion
  • 3 Garlic cloves
  • 3 to 4 Bell Peppers
  • 1/2 teaspoon Basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Oregano
  • Toasted Buns to Serve

Instructions

  1. In a large skillet par boil the 6 sausages in 1/2 cup of water to start the cooking process.
  2. Mince the garlic cloves, cut the bell pepper into slices, and slice the onion.
  3. In the slow cooker/ CrockPot add the jar of marinara sauce, add, the Basil, Oregano, and minced garlic.
  4. Add the onion and peppers and toss.
  5. Add the parboiled Italian Sausage and toss.
  6. Set the CrockPot on low for 5-6 hours or high for 4 hours.
  7. Serve the sausage with the onions and peppers in a toasted bun or over rice.
