Easy One-Dish Chicken Stuffing Casserole Bake

This Easy One-Dish Chicken Stuffing Casserole Bake is the ultimate comfort food for family dinners. With a creamy sauce, tender chicken, and savory stuffing, it’s an easy dinner recipe that the whole family will love.

Ingredients

  • Cooking Spray
  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-size pieces, or use chicken tenders.
  • Salt and Pepper To taste
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 1 cup of Sour Cream
  • 1 Can of Cream of Celery Soup
  • 1 tablespoon Onion Flakes
  • 1 teaspoon Basil
  • 1 teaspoon Oregano
  • 3 cloves Fresh Garlic
  • 1 package Store-Bought Stuffing Mix Corn Bread or Chicken
  • 1 1/2 cups of Chicken Broth
  • 1/4 cup of Butter, cut into pads

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375° F.
  2. Coat the bottom of the baking dish with the cooking spray for easy cleanup.
  3. Add the chicken to the bottom of the casserole dish, salt and pepper to taste.
  4. Sprinkle on top of the chicken the onion flakes, basil, oregano, and garlic.
  5. In a medium bowl, mix the sour cream, cream of celery soup, and water, mix well, and spread on top of the chicken.
  6. Next, combine the stuffing mix and the chicken broth in a medium bowl and mix to coat. Spread the mixture on top of the chicken mixture.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven at 375° F for 30 minutes covered with a lid or foil, then remove the cover and cook uncovered for 15 minutes until golden brown.
  8. Before eating confirm that the internal temperature is 165° F.

Notes

  1.  You can use 2 pounds of chicken and use the same ingredients if you are cooking for a larger family and need more than 4 servings. No need to increase the other ingredients.
