Grilled Bang Bang Chicken Skewers or Grilling Pan

When you’re craving bold,  spicy flavors for grilling season, this Bang Bang Chicken is the perfect easy recipe to try! This Bang Bang chicken recipe features juicy chicken breast marinated in a creamy Bang Bang sauce and then cooked on skewers or grilled on a grill pan.  Topped with the most delicious sriracha sauce for the perfect summer dinner.

  • Total Time: 36 minutes
  • Yield: 2 servings 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 pound chicken breasts or boneless skinless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces (This feeds only two people without any leftovers- I recommend you double the recipe)
  • 2 tablespoons of Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon of Sriracha Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • 1 Teaspoon Onion Powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon each Salt and pepper

Bang Bang Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup of mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup Sweet Chili Sauce
  • 12 teaspoons Sriracha Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Lime Juice

Instructions

  1. Marinate the uncooked chicken in all of the ingredients of the marinade for 30 minutes.
  2. While the chicken is marinating, mix together the sauce ingredients. And if using wooden or bamboo skewers, soak in warm water so they do not burn on the grill
  3. After 30 minutes, heat the grill to high heat. Use a grill pan so the chicken does not slip through. Or use skewers to assemble the chicken. You may still want to use the grill pan. Spray the pan with spray oil.
  4. Add the chicken skewers, or if using the grill pan, add the chicken all at once and separate.
  5. Cook for 3-4 minutes on each side until the internal temperature is 165°F.

Notes

  1. Mix all the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl until smooth. This spicy sauce also works well with bang bang shrimp if you want to recreate the famous Bonefish Grill classic at home!
