- 6 eggs
- 1 small onion chopped
- 1 green, yellow or red pepper chopped
- 1/2 cup of cheddar cheese
- 3 cooked slices of bacon chopped
- Salt & pepper
- 1 cup of water for the Instant Pot
Instructions
- Mix together 6 eggs, 1 small onion chopped finely, 1 green, red or yellow pepper chopped finely, 3 slices of cooked bacon chopped, shredded cheese, salt & pepper to taste.
- Line a 7 inch springform pan with foil and spray with spray oil.
- Pour the egg mixture into the springform pan.
- Place 1 cup of water in the Instant Pot inner pot.
- Set your trivet in the inner pot.
- Place the springform pan with the egg mixture onto the trivet.
- Close the lid and set it to seal.
- Cook on high pressure for 10 minutes.
- When cooking time is done do a 10 minute natural release.
- Remove the pan from the Instant Pot, remove the Frittata from the pan.
- Serve and eat immediately.
Notes
- If you do not have an Instant Pot: Bake in the oven for 350° for 10 to 12 minutes if making in a cast-iron skillet.
- You can add any veggies you like as little or as many to this dish to make it your own.
- If you double the recipe, cook on high for 20 minutes with a 10-minute natural release.
- Make sure that your pan for the egg casserole does not touch the sides of the Instant Pot inner pot, you need the steam from the water below to cook the frittata.
