- Angel Food Cake Pan
- 1 box Angel Food Cake Mix
- 1 cup of water for the cake
- 4–5 cups of fresh strawberries
- 2 pints of whipping cream
- 1 package Knox Gelatin Unflavored envelope for whip cream
- 2 tablespoons of water for gelatin
- 1 tablespoon vanilla for whip cream
Instructions
- Make the Angel Food Cake per the instructions on the box mix.
- Wash and cut the strawberries in half length-wise
- Cool the cake completely
- Cut the cake into two layers
- Place the bottom layer on a cake stand
- Mix 1 envelope of gelatin with 2 tablespoons let sit 5 minutes stir
- Make the stabilized whip cream by placing 2 pints of heavy whipping cream in a mixer bowl with 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 1/4 cup of sugar, and thick gelatin and mix with a whipping attachment for 2 to 4 minutes until thick and fluffy. (Not too much or you will make butter)
- Layer 1/2 the whipped cream and 1/2 the strawberries then set the second layer and top with the remaining whip cream. Decorate with the largest strawberries.
