Angel Food Cake with Layers of Strawberry and Stabilized Whip Cream

Easy Quick Summer Dessert Angel Food cake layered with stable whipping cream and fresh strawberries, light fluffy kid friendly.

  • Angel Food Cake Pan
  • 1 box Angel Food Cake Mix
  • 1 cup of water for the cake
  • 45 cups of fresh strawberries
  • 2 pints of whipping cream
  • 1 package Knox Gelatin Unflavored envelope for whip cream
  • 2 tablespoons of water for gelatin
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla for whip cream


  1. Make the Angel Food Cake per the instructions on the box mix.
  2. Wash and cut the strawberries in half length-wise
  3. Cool the cake completely
  4. Cut the cake into two layers
  5. Place the bottom layer on a cake stand
  6. Mix 1 envelope of gelatin with 2 tablespoons let sit 5 minutes stir
  7. Make the stabilized whip cream by placing 2 pints of heavy whipping cream in a mixer bowl with 1 teaspoon of vanilla, 1/4 cup of sugar, and thick gelatin and mix with a whipping attachment for 2 to 4 minutes until thick and fluffy. (Not too much or you will make butter)
  8. Layer 1/2 the whipped cream and 1/2 the strawberries then set the second layer and top with the remaining whip cream. Decorate with the largest strawberries.
