Crock Pot Classic Beef Stroganoff with Beef Tips

CrockPot Classic Beef Stroganoff with Beef Tips is super easy to make, with tender, juicy beef tips simmering in a rich, creamy stroganoff sauce.  The recipe is best served over egg noodles for the ultimate comfort food experience. For years this recipe has been a family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 large onion chopped
  • 2 cloves of garlic chopped
  • 2 pounds of beef tips
  • 1 can of cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 3 cans of sliced mushrooms or 3 cups of fresh mushrooms
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup of cream cheese
  • 1/2 sour cream
  • 1 package of egg noodles

Instructions

  1.  In a large skillet over medium-high add the olive oil and saute 1 large onion and 2 cloves of garlic for 3 minutes.
  2. Add the beef tips and brown on all sides.
  3. Add the onions, garlic, and beef tips to the CrockPot.
  4. Stir into the crock pot the one can of cream of mushroom soup and 1/2 cup of water.
  5. Salt and Pepper to taste.
  6. Set the CrockPot on low for 5 hours. 
  7. When the recipe is cooked add a little of the sauce of the recipe to the cream cheese to warm it up. Use a whisk and add more sauce to still the cream cheese, add the cream cheese to the CrockPot and stir. 
  8. Next, warm up the sour cream in the same way add it to the recipe, and stir. 
  9. Keep the recipe on warm and boil the egg noodles per the instructions on the package.
