CrockPot Sirloin Beef Tips with Savory Mushroom Gravy

Enjoy tender beef sirloin tips slow-cooked in a crockpot with savory herbs and spices, smothered in a delicious gravy for the ultimate comfort food experience.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 2 pounds of sirloin beef tips- ButcherBox
  • 1 large onion large chop
  • 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
  • 4 cups of cleaned and large sliced mushrooms
  • 1 cup of Red Wine
  • 2 cups of beef broth (I use 2 cups of water and 1 tablespoon of beef Better Than Bouillon)
  • 1 package Durke Mushroom Gravy mix package
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • To thicken: 3 tablespoons cornstarch and 3 tablespoons water

Instructions

  1. Spray the inner pot of the CrockPot with spray oil.
  2. Chop the onion in large chop and add to the Crockpot.
  3. Clean and thick slice the mushrooms and add.
  4. Chop 2 tablespoons of fresh garlic (or use 2 tablespoons of pre-minced garlic)
  5. Add the 1 cup of wine.
  6. Next in a 4-cup measuring cup or large bowl, mix together the beef broth, gravy package, and Worcestershire sauce. Pour into the CrockPot.
  7. Add the beef tip, stir, and cover.
  8. Set the CrockPot on low for 5 hours. 

 

Notes

  1.  When I did not have fresh garlic I used 1/2 tablespoon of garlic powder.
  2. I also have added 1 can of Campbells French Onion soup, to add another depth of flavor.
