Easy Brown Sugar Pineapple Crock Pot Spiral Ham

Easy Brown Sugar Pineapple Crock-Pot Ham recipe cooks all by its self for a perfect family Easter or Christmas Dinner. It is so easy because once you have the ham and the glaze all in the Crock-Pot the ham becomes moist and tender on the inside and forms a sweet glaze on the outside and all you have to do is bast every hour. The ham is cooked to perfection and ready to eat in 4 hours.

Ingredients

  • 1 Fully Cooked Spiral Ham 5 to 6 pounds
  • Spice package that comes with the ham
  • 1/2 cup of maple syrup
  • 1/2 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 can of Dole pineapple rings in 100% pineapple juice – 20 oz.
  • Reserved juice from the pineapple rings
  • 1 jar of maraschino cherries (discard the juice or use for another recipe)
  • 24 to 30 whole cloves – to hold the pineapple ring onto the ham

Instructions

  1. Spray the Crock Pot with spray oil for easy clean-up. 
  2. Remove the wrapper of the ham and set aside the seasoning package. (Look at the ingredients of the package this recipe used the seasoning package but if you want to start from scratch the instructions are in the notes)
  3. Place the ham in the Crock Pot face down.
  4. In a saucepan mix the seasoning package, the juice from the pineapple rings, 1/2 cup of maple syrup, 1/2 cup of brown sugar and bring to a boil. Boil for one minute and remove from the heat. 
  5. Place the pineapple rings all over the ham trying to cover as much of the ham as possible. Attach the rings to the ham with the 3 whole cloves each ring. 
  6. Add a maraschino cherry to the middle of each ring. 
  7. Pour the glaze over the whole ham. Place the hid on the slow cooker and set the cooker for 4 hours on low. Cook until the internal temperature is 140° F.  
  8. Serve hot or cold.

Notes

To make the glaze without the seasoning package.

Mix together in a saucepan 1/2 cup of packed brown sugar, 1/2 cup of maple syrup, the juice from the pineapple rings, 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon of mustard, and 1/8 teaspoon of ground cloves. Bring to a boil and boil for 1 minute.
