Easy Grinch Crinkle Cookies Decorated with Sprinkles

Start making Grinch Crinkle Cookies decorated with sprinkles and these soft chewy Grinch-y green cookies will become a family Christmas Baking tradition. Have this sweet cookie treat ready when you gather the family for a Grinch movie night.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups of flour
  • 1 1/2 cups white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon and 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup softened butter
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 eggs at room temperature
  • 1/4 cup of melted butter and add oil to make 1/3 cup
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 teaspoon mint extract
  • green food coloring
  • sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375Β°.
  2. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cut into this mixture with a pastry cutter the 1/4 cup of softened butter.
  4. In a stand mixer or with a hand mixer, mix together the flour mixture with the eggs and the melted butter.
  5. Add the vanilla and mint extract.
  6. Add 10 drops of green food coloring or as many to get the color green you like.Β 
  7. Add the sprinkles to a small bowl.
  8. Form the dough into about 1 inch balls, roll into the sprinkles. I only rolled the top and the sides.Β 
  9. Place the cookies on parchment paper or a silicone baking pad. Only place 8 cookies on each baking sheet as the cookies spread during baking.Β 
  10. Bake at 375Β° for 8 minutes.
