Savory 2 cheese bread. Simple to make the dough in the bread machine and bake in the oven. Soft and full of cheese flavor yeast bread made right at home. Perfect for toast and grilled cheese sandwiches.


  • 1 cup of warm water
  • 11/2 tablespoons of butter melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 cup of whole wheat flour
  • 23/4  cup bread flour
  • 1/3 cup of dry milk
  • 11/3 cup of shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 teaspoon dry bread machine yeast


  1. Add all of the ingredients in the inner pan of the bread machine in the order listed. Set the bread machine to the dough cycle and start.
  2. After the cycle is done and you hear the beep, remove the dough and place it on a floured surface.
  3. Shape the dough into a circle
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover with a clean towel and allow rise for 1 hour.
  5. After it has doubled in size shape into a circle or an oblong loaf.
  6. Preheat the oven to 425° (I preheat my pizza stone in the oven and transfer the loaf with a pizza peel to the stone)
  7. Place your loaf on a baking stone or baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes, or until the internal temperature is 190°.
