These easy Christmas spiced nuts are sweet, salty, and spicy, and they never last long on my holiday table. They come together in about 30 minutes with just five ingredients, and you can make them a day or two ahead. Set out a bowl at your next party, or pack them in a jar for the easiest homemade Christmas gift.

  • Total Time: 30
  • Yield: 12 1x

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 3 to 4 cups of raw nuts mixed variety
  • 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 TLB Brown Sugar
  • 1 tsp Salt (or to your taste)
  • 1 1/2 TLB Melted Butter

Instructions

  1. Roast the nuts in the oven in one layer on a large baking sheet at 350° until lightly toasted about 5 to 10 min. Watch closely.
  2. When the nuts are out of the oven, melt the butter.
  3. Mix together and toss over the nuts butter cayenne pepper, brown sugar, and salt.
  4. Cool and serve.

Notes

  • 1. You can store the nuts in an airtight container for at least a week. But they will not last that long.
  • 2. Do not melt the butter and mix the sugar together ahead of time as it will become hard and you will not be able to use it.
  • 3. Mix the Cayenne Pepper in well
