The first few batches were trial and error, but I was determined to create a version that was high protein, low carb, and just as indulgent as the ice cream I grew up with. Once I figured out the right blend of vanilla protein powder, mint extract, and Fairlife milk, I knew I had something that really worked.

Now, this Ninja Cream Chocolate Mint recipe is always in rotation in my freezer. It supports my fitness goals and curbs my sweet tooth, without the sugar crash.

How to Make Mint Chocolate Ice Cream in the Ninja Creami

FAQ About Ninja Creami Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream

Can I use a different type of milk in this recipe?

Yes! While Fairlife milk is high in protein and low in fat, you can substitute it with almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk. Just note that the creaminess and protein content may vary.

What if my ice cream is too crumbly after the second spin?

That’s totally normal with high-protein recipes. After the second spin, add 1 tablespoon of milk and spin again to achieve a smooth and creamy texture.

Do I have to use green food coloring?

Nope! It’s just for the traditional mint chip appearance. The flavor stays the same without it—feel free to skip it if you prefer a natural look. Or try using food-grade food coloring powder as a natural alternative.
