Ingredients for Crockpot Italian Sausages, Peppers and Onions:
- Spray Olive Oil
- 6 Italian Sausage
- 1/2 cup Water
- 2 cups Marinara Sauce
- 1 Large Onion
- 3 Garlic cloves
- 3 to 4 Bell Peppers
- 1/2 teaspoon Basil
- 1/2 teaspoon Oregano
- Toasted Buns to Serve

How to Make Easy CrockPot Italian Sausages, Peppers, and Onions:
1. Parboil the Sausages:
Start by parboiling your uncooked sausages in 1/2 cup of water. This begins the cooking process, ensuring the sausages are fully cooked when slow-cooked.
2. Prep the Veggies:
Slice your sweet onion and bell peppers. I like to use a mix of green and yellow bell peppers for extra color. Mince the garlic – and if you love garlic, feel free to add a little more!
3. Layer the Ingredients in the CrockPot
Spray a little olive oil inside the CrockPot to prevent sticking. Pour in your marinara sauce, then add the basil, oregano, and minced garlic.
4. Add the Veggies:
Toss in the sliced onions and bell peppers, making sure they are coated in the marinara sauce.
5. Add the Sausages:
Place the parboiled sausages on top of the veggies, giving everything a good toss to mix the flavors.
6. Set the Cooking Time:
Set your CrockPot to low for 5-6 hours or high for 4 hours. The slow cooker will handle the rest while you go about your day.
