Ninja Creami Flavors: The Protein Cheat Sheet
Ninja Creami protein ice cream flavors are exactly what my freezer has been full of this past year, and I could not be more happy about it.
When I first got my Ninja Creami, I made one flavor, and I was hooked. Then I started experimenting, and I realized something. The base formula is always the same. Once you understand the ratios, you can build almost any flavor you want without a recipe.
That is exactly what this guide is for.
Why You’ll Love This Flavor Guide
- You can mix and match ingredients you already have on hand
- Every flavor uses the same simple base, so there is nothing new to learn
- Each version gives you 20 to 25 grams of protein per pint
- No ice cream maker required and no complicated steps
- Great for meal prep, you can make several flavors at once and freeze them all week
The Simple Base Formula for Every Flavor
Every Ninja Creami protein ice cream I make starts with the same foundation. Once you have this down, the flavors are limited only by what is in your pantry.

Your base every time
- 1 cup Fairlife 2% milk (this is the secret to a creamy, scoopable result)
- 1 container (5.3 oz) Chobani plain Greek yogurt
- 1 scoop Clean Simple Eats protein powder or protein powder of your choice
- 1 to 2 tablespoons of your sweetener (sugar-free pudding mix, honey, or maple syrup)
That is it. Everything else is a flavor variation layered on top.
Pro tip: Fairlife milk makes a real difference in texture. The higher protein content keeps the pint from becoming icy. I have tried other milks, and I always come back to Fairlife.

How to Make Every Flavor
1. Mix your base: Combine your milk, yogurt, protein powder, and sweetener in a bowl or measuring cup. Whisk until smooth. Pro tip: If your protein powder clumps, use a small blender or immersion blender for 30 seconds.
2. Add your flavor ingredients: Stir in whatever flavor additions you are using. If you are using fresh fruit, you can blend it right into the base.
3. Pour and freeze: Pour the mixture into your Ninja Creami pint container and freeze for a full 24 hours. Do not rush this step.
4. Process: Run on the Lite Ice Cream setting. Run warm water over the side of the pint before spinning. If the result is crumbly, hit Re-spin once. That almost always solves it. (Also leave the pint on the counter for 10 to 15 minutes if you have a really strong freezer.
5. Add mix-ins: If you want mix-ins like chocolate chips or nuts, make a small well in the center after processing, add them, and run the Mix-In setting.

Frequently Asked Questions
A: Yes. Any protein powder works but the flavor and sweetness will vary. Unflavored protein powder gives you the most control over the final taste.
A: The most common reason is using a lower-protein milk. Fairlife makes the biggest difference. Also make sure your pint freezes for a full 24 hours. Let the pint sit out for 10 to 15 minutes and run the side under warm water to help reduce ice crystals.
A: Absolutely. Swap the Fairlife for unsweetened almond milk and use a dairy-free yogurt. The texture will be slightly lighter but still delicious.
A: Up to two weeks. After that, they tend to get icier. I make two or three at the start of the week, and we work through them. But I have left them in longer; you just have to leave them out for 15 min and/or add 1 tablespoon of milk.
