I never knew you could use cream cheese in a crock pot cream cheese chicken recipe until I discovered this incredible slow cooker cream cheese chicken dish.

Our family had never made a white chicken chili recipe before, but this crack chicken recipe has quickly become one of our favorite dinners. The creamy chicken with its creamy sauce creates an addicting combination of chicken that we can’t get enough of.

We enjoyed it as a summer sandwich and as a dip for crackers, making it our new favorite chicken recipe. This easy recipe is now a staple at dinner time.

Equipment Needed for Slow Cooker Cracked Chicken:

  • Slow Cooker or Crock Pot
  • Spray Oil
  • 2 large Forks

Ingredients Needed for Slow Cooker Cream Cheese Chicken:

  • 1 White Onion Sliced
  • 6 boneless skinless Chicken Breasts
  • 1 Block of Cream Cheese – Full Fat Cream Cheese
  • 6 tablespoons of Dry Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing (or 2 packets)
  • 1 cup of Shredded Cheddar Cheese or Colby Jack Cheese
  • 6 slices of Chrispy Cooked Bacon (reserve 3 slices)
  • 2 Green Onions chopped (reserve 20)

How to Make Slow Cooker Cream Cheese Crack Chicken Bacon and Ranch:

  1. In the bottom of the slow cooker lightly spray with spray oil for easy cleanup.
  2. Add to the bottom of the slow cooker the onion slices.
  3. Add 6 thawed boneless skinless chicken breasts.
  4. Sprinkle on top of the chicken the dry Ranch Dressing powder (do not use a bottle of ranch dressing).
  5. Add the block of Cream Cheese on top of the chicken.
  6. Cook on low for 4-6 hours. In my CrockPot it took 6 hours on low. 
  7. Remove the lid and shred the chicken with 2 forks. When you have the chicken shredded, mix well.
  8. Add on top of the shredded chicken 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, 2/3 of the chopped green onions, and half of the chopped crispy bacon. Use the reserved green onions and bacon to put on top when serving.
