To make this appetizer, you will need a round of brie cheese, chopped walnuts, and honey. You can also use puff pastry or phyllo dough to encase the brie cheese if desired. To start, preheat your oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. If using dough, roll it out and cut it into a circle that is slightly larger than the brie cheese. Place the brie cheese in the center of the dough and fold the edges up and over the cheese, pressing gently to seal. Place the brie cheese on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Sprinkle the chopped walnuts over the top of the brie cheese and drizzle the honey over the top. Bake the brie cheese for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is warm and gooey. Remove the brie cheese from the oven and let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Serve the baked brie cheese with crackers, bread, or fruit for dipping. It’s a great choice for a cheese platter or as part of a larger spread of appetizers. No matter how you serve it, this baked brie cheese with walnuts and honey is sure to be a hit at your next party or gathering

What is Brie Cheese?
Brie cheese is a soft and creamy cheese optionally from France. It is mild and when melted is delicious for crackers. It comes with a white rind covering the entire round wheel of cheese. I have found the best brie for the best price is from Costco.

Should You Remove the Rind from Brie?
I have made this recipe with or without the rind. But I like to remove most of the top rind from the round of Brie chees. If I leave the white rind on the top my guest either asks me if it is edible or removes it anyways.
I take a sharp knife and scrap off the thin rind from the top. If a little of the white rind is still visible that is ok too.

Baked Brie Toppings
There are many ways to make a baked brie with toppings. My favorite that my family loves is a simple walnut and honey. However, here are some other suggestions:
- Honey with Cranberries, Walnuts, Hazelnuts, Pecan, or Slivered Almonds.
- Pistachio and Figs, Fig Jam.
- Cranberry sauce with Walnuts, Hazelnuts, Pecan, or Slivered Almonds.
- Any combination of the above with dried fruit on top.
