2 Methods for using the Printable labels

1st Method:

The first method is the basic traditional method I learned.  Once you have the password to the printable library, hop over to the library with the link at the top of the blog. Download the JPEG file to your computer.  Load your printer with good card stock and print as many as you need.

With a good pair of scissors cut out each circle. Write the make of you canned good and tape or glue to the top of your jar. The pretty labels will help you keep your pantry in order.

2nd Method Cricut Cutting Machine:

If you own a Cricut cutting machine you can upload the image of the canning labels and set them to print and cut. You can also add text to the label in Cricut design.  Here is a step by step instructions.

Step 1:

Open a new project by clicking the “+ New Project”. This is the image you will see.  Click on the “upload” button on the left side at the bottom of the left column.

Step 2:

Click on the “Upload Image” and search for the image you saved on your computer.

Step 3:

Browse for the image you want to upload.

Click “Open:

Step 5:

PIck the “Complex” option and then click “Continue”.

As you can see this image is way too big. Click the “-” sign at the top right until the shape is the size of a regular 8×10. paper. And then click “Continue”

At the upper left-hand side click the “wand” and click the image anywhere that you want the Cricut to cut out.  This will be the entire background for the labels. You will see the areas as a checkerboard.

Select the “Print then cut image” option. Then click “Save”.

Highlight your project and click “Insert Images”

Your image will not be on the Canvas. However, if you Click the “make it” button you will notice that your image is too big to print. See next step.

Notice at the top you have to reduce the size to the dimensions recommended at the top. Do this by selecting the image and at the corners click and drag to make the image smaller on the canvas.

Now that the image is the correct size for printing, you are ready to hit the “make it” button.  Make sure that the image is a print and cut image notes the printer icon circled.

Now is where you can make more than one copy by changing the “project copies” at the top left.  Hit the “Continue” at the bottom right and you are ready to print.

Send the image to the printer.

Select your printer and print. I use a heavy Card Stock or for stickers, I purchased this Sticker Paper.  This is the brand I used that gives you a lot of paper, 100 sheets, for a great price.

Step 17:

Depending on the material used you will have to set your material dial on the Cricut. If you are using cardstock the setting is on the dial. If you are using a custom material you will set the dial on “Custom” and in Cricut design view all and pick your material.

Now the project is ready.  Take the printed page with the black border and place it on your mat. Load it in the machine with the “arrow” button, and Press the “C” button to start the print and cut.  When the images are cut, remove the mat and you will have beautiful stickers.
