Valentines DIY Vinyl Coasters

It is now the time for decorating with Valentine’s Day hearts and everything Valentine’s pink & red. An easy way to add color and decoration to your home is with adhesive vinyl. Using the Cricut Cutting Machine makes designing and cutting decorative vinyl simple and fun.
I love the look of marble and these heart shapes are perfect for my Valentine’s Day table. After looking at several different colors, I decided that my Valentine DIY Vinyl Coasters would have a pink design.

You can find a large variety of blank marble coasters at home goods, and on Amazon. I loved the look and feel of marble for this project but you can find coasters of many different materials. It is so easy to use vinyl decals to decorate them.

I love the heart shape of these cute coasters I found in the clearance section of home goods. I could not believe that so close to Valentine’s Day they would still be there but I had to grab them up. I love a good deal and for marble coasters to be under $6.00 I had to take them and decide on a project later. With cut and stick vinyl it is so easy for you can make any coaster your own with different colors and different images.

If you want to make the same design I have a free cut file that you can use.

When I was trying to decide on a design, I kept thinking hearts but hearts on hearts seems redundant. My husband mentioned cherubs and sure enough, I had a cherub design in my image files. Using the slice and cut feature in Cricut Design Space to make a little cut out hearts, the design was perfect. (And yes I got my hearts in the project).

I love the results and so will you. Find your style of a blank coaster and have fun for any occasion. A beautiful DIY designed coaster is perfect for a baby shower or a wedding shower. I have seen them as favors at weddings. What a great idea for a gift when made out of a light material that is easy to take home.
