If you haven’t guessed by now you know I am in love with Valentine’s Day hearts and everything Valentines pink. I love the look of marble and these heart shapes are perfect for my Valentines Day table. After looking at several different colors, I decided that my Valentines DIY Vinyl Coasters would have a pink design.

You can find a large variety of blank marble coasters at home goods, and I’m Amazon. I loved the look and feel of marble for this project but you can find coasters of many materials. It is so easy to use vinyl decals to decorate them.
I love the heart shape of these cute coasters I found in the clearance section of home goods. I could not believe that so close to Valentine’s Day they would still be there but I had to grab them up. I love a good deal and for marble coasters to be under $6.00 I had to take them and decide on a project later. With cut and stick vinyl it is so easy for you can make any coaster your own with different colors and different images.
Here is a tutorial on how to take the image and use it for your Cricut Cutting Machine. (how to take a JPEG and make it a cut file)
When I was trying to decide on a design, I kept thinking hearts but hearts on hearts seems redundant. My husband mentioned cherubs and sure enough, I had a cherub design in my image files. Using the slice and cut feature in Cricut Design Space to make a little cut out hearts, the design was perfect. (And yes I got my hearts in the project).
I love the results and so will you. Find your style of a blank coaster and have fun for any occasion. A beautiful DIY designed coaster is perfect for a baby shower or a wedding shower. I have seen them as favors at weddings. What a great idea for a gift when made out of a light material that is easy to take home.
I buy all of my Vinyl and Transfer Tape from Expressions Vinyl. It is the easiest to use and most cost-effective. The Transfer tape is amazing. So easy to use and make transferring your image to your project a snap.
Step by Step:
- Download the image from the Printable Library.
- Size the image to your coaster size.
- Test cut the image on a piece of cardstock.
- Cut the image on the cut & stick vinyl.
- Weed the vinyl that is not your image.
- Cut a piece of transfer tape the size of your image.
- Rug the image onto the transfer tape.
- Peel off the back of the vinyl so the image is on the transfer tape.
- Lay the image on your project.
- Rub the image onto the project.
- Remove the transfer tape and your image is on your project.
